Cereal is usually everyone’s go-to breakfast but most cereals are full of sugar, dyes and chemicals. And when a cereal is supposed to be healthy it usually tastes bland and boring. Breakfast is the most important meal of the day because it’s your starting fuel to tackle everything your day has to bring. This superfruit banana cereal recipe is a nutritious meal to start your day with and it’s quick, simple and delicious.

Health benefits of bananas
We’ve all eaten bananas before but did you know all the health benefits they contain? To start they provide a variety of vitamins and minerals such as vitamin B6, vitamin C, manganese, potassium, fibre, iron, and magnesium just to name a few. On top of that, bananas also contain tryptophan, which converts into serotonin (bananas make you happy!). Bananas also regulate blood sugar and help to overcome muscle cramps. Bananas are a prebiotic and help with digestion whether you are constipated or have the runs. They are also rich in pectin, which rids the body of heavy metals and toxins. Bananas have so many more health benefits but hopefully this has convinced you to eat them on a regular basis.
Health benefits of mulberries
Dried mulberries are so delicious; they taste like a mixture between granola and graham crackers, and they make a great addition to cereal, salads and smoothies. In just one ounce (equivalent to two tablespoons) these nutrient dense superfruits have 130% of your daily vitamin C, 20% iron, 16% fibre, and 8% calcium.
Health benefits of goji berries
The goji berries you usually find in stores are dried. These little red superfruits can be added to smoothies, cereal, salads, desserts and nut trail mixes. A ¼ cup of dried goji berries contains 30% of your daily vitamin A, 20% iron, 10% vitamin C, and 8% fibre.
